Licensure Requirements By State

Licensure for a physical therapist is required in each state and must be renewed on a regular basis. State boards and expectations may vary from state to state, and the PT must abide by the state licensure requirements in the state in which they are employed.

At this time, PTs are not offered a compact license for multiple states; however, FSBPT is working on implementing compact licensures in the near future.
