Holding SLP certification means holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or AHSA, nationally recognized professional credentials that represents achievement in Speech-Language Pathology(CCC-SLP).

AHSA certification is based upon a calendar year and varies from state to state. Though previously voluntary, as of 2016 almost all states require licensure for SLPs by CCC or ASHA.
