Travelers are often paid at rates 50 percent higher than their permanent counterparts. Each travel budget is created with the specific needs of the traveler in mind and can include tax-free stipends. Reimbursements for travel to the assignment, continuing education, medical documentation and state licensure may also be included in the final compensation package.
Generous Housing Subsidies
MAS works within Federal guidelines to maximize your tax-free housing stipend. Depending on the location of the assignment this stipend can range from $1,200 to $2,400 per month. This tax-free stipend is conveniently included in your weekly paycheck so that you control your living arrangements. In order to qualify for this stipend you must maintain a primary residence more than a commutable distance away from your secondary or temporary residence. Please be sure to contact a tax professional for additional information regarding this IRS policy.
Meal Per Diem
Based upon Federal guidelines travelers may also qualify for a per diem stipend to cover food and daily expenses while on assignment with MAS. This stipend ranges from $175 to $315 per week and is included in your weekly paycheck. To qualify for this stipend you must maintain a primary residence more than a commutable distance away from your secondary or temporary residence.
MAS is pleased to offer MVP Health Insurance (voted one of America's best health plans) to all travelers who work a minimum of 32 hours per week. MAS contributes 100 percent of the premium for all individual plans. Health insurance can also be extended to a spouse or immediate family for an additional cost.
Reputable Client Network
MAS offers a wide variety of assignments in facilities such as national rehabilitation centers, teaching institutions, acute care hospitals, private practice clinics and more. We talk to our clients daily to stay current on their staffing needs. We utilize search technology to establish a comprehensive list of assignment options in your setting and location. Our philosophy is simple- if an assignment exists, we will find it for you.
Each assignment clearly outlines a start and end date with a guarantee of hours which are to be honored by both the traveler and the client. All pre-approved time off is noted in the contract and can be added to the end of the contract if desired by both parties. There is never a penalty for taking days off between assignments or for missing a day due to an unforeseeable emergency. MAS pays all travelers for hours worked and offers the tax-free stipends accordingly.
Weekly Direct Deposit
Payday is every Friday and direct deposit is encouraged.
We appreciate the opportunity to work with you and hope that you are pleased with your experience to recommend us to your colleagues in the field. If you do, we will thank you by fattening your piggybank. For every traveler referral who completes a 13-week assignment, we will pay you a $750 bonus check, minus applicable taxes. For every permanent candidate referral who meets their guarantee, we offer a $500 bonus check, minus applicable taxes.
If you've got the drive, MAS can keep you working from assignment to assignment. Complete three consecutive assignments with us and you will receive a $1,000 bonus check, minus applicable taxes.
Sign-on and Completion Bonuses
Many of our clients offer sign on and completion bonuses for hard-to-fill positions. These bonuses can be as lucrative as $10,000 for a 13-week assignment. We can't think of a better way to pay off those stubborn school loans or start an interest-bearing rainy day fund.
Working within the parameters of the client budget we may reimburse for continuing education, state licensure, travel to the assignment, mileage reimbursement and pre-employment screenings.
Professional Liability Insurance
We offer $2/$4 million professional liability insurance, exceeding the industry standard. This insurance protects your licensure and your right to practice in the field.
Workers Compensation Insurance
State law requires that all employees have workers compensation insurance. Should you accidentally get hurt on the job you are covered.
You will always have access to your recruiter’s cell phone, your travel account manager’s cell phone and of course, our on-call coordinator. Our team is always just a phone call away.
