Description
Looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a fantastic location for the Fall months. Ideal candidates will be those that will consider temp to perm, but will consider all travelers. Shift is a mix of days/evenings with rotating weekends and holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Perform evaluations of patients status utilizing clinical skills to address range of motion, strength, coordination, sensation, perception, cognition, independence in ADLs, mobility and transfers.2. Determine patients need for splints, adaptive equipment and/or assistive devices.3. Establish appropriate treatment goals with input from patient/family based on evaluation findings.4. Develop a plan of care based on results of the evaluation and treatment goals.5. Assess a patients potential for rehabilitation based upon the patient/familys attitude toward rehabilitation.6. Maintain medical records with daily documentation of all evaluations and treatment with periodic reevaluations of progress and modification of treatment programs and goals accordingly.7. Provide education to patients, their families, nurses, other hospital staff and the general public on ADLs, energy conservation, ergonomics and the role of Occupational Therapy.Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required1. Two to Five years of experience in an acute care setting.
Education Required1. B.S. in an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.Registration/Certification1. MA Occupational Therapy license.2. CPR certification.
