Description
- Qualified Surgical Nurse Practitioner to work with the Cardiothoracic Surgery department to provide and coordinate the care of the Cardiothoracic patients.
- The Nurse Practitioner will act as a patient advocate, assuring all aspects of the patient's and family's needs are met and preventing fragmentation of care.
- Schedule: 4 or 5 day week with OR Call (1 in 2), Patient Call (1 in 4) and rounding every 3rd weekend.
Qualifications:
- APRN, licensed in NH or eligible. Masters degree is required

Completion of an accredited PA Certification program and national certifying exam given by NCCPA

Minimum of one year experience in cardiothoracic surgery (or equivalent). All candidates must be proficient and technically expert at harvesting the saphenous vein and other conduit, chest X-ray interpretation and IABP management.
